Tom Biolchini, Chairman

Tom Biolchini is the Chairman of Vast Bank and has been a Vast Bank executive since 2008. Tom practiced law with Crowe & Dunlevy and Stuart, Biolchini & Turner until he became a full-time banker.

Tom is active in numerous philanthropic endeavors in the Tulsa community and will become Chairman of the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2023. Tom is also a member of YPO, a leadership community of chief executives. Tom earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame and worked for Jones Lang Lasalle as a financial analyst in Chicago before returning to Notre Dame to earn his MBA and JD degrees.

Brad Scrivner, Chief Executive Officer

Brad Scrivner is Chief Executive Officer of Vast Bank. Brad began his career as a system and design engineer at the Callaway Nuclear Plant in Callaway County, Missouri, before transitioning to consultative sales roles with XEROX and Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Vast Bank in 2012, Brad served as the Tulsa market president for Kansas City-based UMB Bank. Brad received his BSEE from the University of Missouri and his MBA from William Woods University.

Doug DeJarnette, President

Doug DeJarnette is President of Vast Bank and has deep roots in the Tulsa banking community with an emphasis on a concierge approach to relationship banking. After growing the Bank of Oklahoma's Private Bank, Doug took the reins of the F&M Bank and Trust Company's Private Bank and Mortgage Company in the Tulsa and Dallas markets. Doug focuses his philanthropic time and energy on Tulsa’s public assets and the arts, having served many organizations and most recently serving as Treasurer for the Arts Alliance as well as the University of Tulsa’s Friends of Finance. He is also a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Doug received his BA from the University of Oklahoma and he joined Vast Bank in 2014.

Veronica Bickerstaff, Chief Financial Officer

Veronica Bickerstaff is the Chief Financial Officer of Vast Bank. Veronica began her career in the audit and consulting practices at PWC and Deloitte, and she has more than 26 years of experience in auditing and accounting, including nineteen years of experience in banking. Veronica joined Vast Bank in 2018. Veronica earned her BS from Oklahoma State University with honors, and she is a Certified Public Accountant.

Carol Morgan-Wirth, Chief Operating Officer

Carol Morgan-Wirth is the Chief Operating Officer of Vast Bank. She has over 30 years of business and operational leadership experience in IT, finance, and healthcare and has served in several leadership capacities for publicly and privately held organizations, including, most recently, as a General Partner at Edward Jones. Carol also previously developed a coaching and leadership development practice. Carol earned her Bachelor of Science in Business and Management Information Systems through the University of Missouri, and holds several coaching certifications and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Stephen Taylor, Chief Information Officer

Stephen Taylor is the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Vast Bank. He is responsible for information technology, data management, cybersecurity, and project management. He has more than 27 years of experience in the IT industry, including roles at Devon Energy, Stonebridge, and Chesapeake Energy. He joined Vast Bank in 2019. Prior to his time at Vast Bank, Stephen founded multiple startup companies, including his most recent data management consulting company, Enovor. He received his BA from Oklahoma State University.

Natalie Parker, Chief Risk Officer

Natalie Parker is the Chief Risk Officer at Vast Bank. She has sixteen years of experience in the financial services industry, previously serving as a bank CFO and as an external auditor specializing in financial institutions. Natalie received her BA from North Dakota State University, and she is a Certified Public Accountant. She joined Vast Bank in 2018.

John Yarbrough, Chief Credit Officer

John Yarbrough is the Chief Credit Officer of Vast Bank. John has been with Vast Bank since 2017 and has more than 39 years of experience in the banking industry. He has held multiple executive positions, including market president, chief risk officer, and chief credit officer. John is the former founder, president, and CEO of Sentry Risk Management Services. In his current position, John manages the coordination and oversight of the bank’s credit risk management activities, is responsible for reporting the status of credit risk to the Board of Directors, and provides guidance to loan officers and credit analysts on the bank’s overall lending policy, credit risk appetite and best practices.

Karen A. McDermott, Chief Marketing Officer

Karen A. McDermott is the Chief Marketing Officer at Vast Bank. Karen has thirty years of experience in the financial services and fintech industries and has held multiple executive positions. Karen began her career in Global Brand and Advertising for the Office of the CMO at American Express before moving on to digital advertising at Chase, helping launching chase.com and Chase Online Banking. Karen also led Executive Communications for Citigroup Global Wealth Management and Corporate Trust divisional marketing at BNY Mellon. Most recently, Karen ran Global Financial Services Marketing and Communications for SAP. Karen received her BS from St. John’s University in Law Studies. She joined Vast Bank in 2023.

Sarah McLaughlin, Chief Human Resources Officer

Sarah McLaughlin is Chief Human Resources Officer at Vast Bank. She brings more than twenty years of human resource and leadership development expertise as an HR leader, business owner and consultant to her role at Vast Bank. Sarah graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in criminal justice and sociology and completed her graduate studies in leadership and organizational development at St. Louis University. Sarah is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the entire employee experience including attracting talent, organizational development, enterprise wide professional development, performance, compensation and succession planning.

Shane Courtney, Digital Banking Director

Shane Courtney is the SVP, Digital Banking Director of Vast Bank. Shane has been with the organization since 2018, and he has 14 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Vast Bank, he spent 11 years with BOK Financial, leading retail product strategy, product development, and digital delivery teams. Shane graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. He is involved in several professional and non-profit organizations in Tulsa.

Kerri Faw Faw, Director of Operations

Kerri Faw Faw is the SVP, Director of Operations of Vast Bank. With more than 26 years of experience in the banking industry, Kerri specializes in efficiency improvements, operations management, project management, data analysis and automation. Kerri oversees multiple traditional banking operational and servicing teams and supports Vast Bank fintech partners in deposit, loan, treasury and crypto. Kerri earned her BA from the University of North Texas, Denton, and she is certified by the Oklahoma Bankers Association.

Yvette Martinez, Retail Banking Director

Yvette Martinez is the SVP, Retail Banking Director of Vast Bank. Formerly a vice president at the F&M Bank and Trust Company, Prosperity Bank, and Bank of Oklahoma, Yvette has more than 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. Yvette is responsible for the Vast Bank Retail Banking network, including branch sales, service and operation, product development, digital offerings including Vast Crypto Banking, and facilities management. Yvette received her BA from Northeastern State University; she joined Vast Bank in 2018.
